hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent (jean kerr)....hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense regardless of how it turns out (vaclav havel)....now, Lord, what do i look for? my hope is in you (ps39:7).

there is a time to write about life and a time to live it. so where have i been? i was eating at the senior farewell dinner. i was seeing movies. i was breaking rules. i was mixing drinks. i was camping in the rain. i was packing my memories into haphazard boxes to be discovered later. the tear-away calendar on my desk still says tuesday. i honestly feel like time is a living thing lately, choosing to rush ahead or drag it's feet by whim. jen left wednesday, misty left yesterday, and i will leave today. my parents are, at this moment, making tracks toward grove city to help pack my life in boxes and take me home again. the past few days have been so strange, this campus empty except for seniors that have nothing to do but wait for the day when we'll grab that expensive piece of paper, shake somebody's hand, flip our tassels, and g r a d u a t e. we're all saying our goodbyes in our own ways. sometimes that means pretending that tomorrow will never come, and other times it's laughing too hard because there won't be so many chances to laugh with these people again. it's crazy how certain people bring out this particular version of me, and i'm just not quite the same without them. part of the missing them will be the missing of who i have been here. miss it? i will, so much. but now it's time for me to go. i have a graduation to attend.
