"Most people don't know what they want or feel. And for everyone, myself included, it's very difficult to say what you mean when what you mean is painful. The most difficult thing in the world is to reveal yourself, to express what you have to... As an artist, I feel that we must try many things - but above all, we must dare to fail. You must have the courage to be bad - to be willing to risk everything to really express it all." john cassavetes.

it's slightly ridiculous to publish your thoughts, your real ones, for the world to read. it's something like a nightmare i had as a kid, right up there with the i-went-to-school-naked dream. but here i am, anyway. i'm 21, graduating from college, skipping as many classes as i can this year to make up for all the ones i won't be able to skip in med school next year. i'm a girl who talks to God at dawn, dances crazy when i'm all alone, and falls hard for guys that have deep hearts. sometimes i know exactly who i am. and sometimes when i forget, someone will say something, write something, sing something that fits perfectly into that little gray space that felt a little empty. maybe something i write will fit into one of your own little gray spaces. that's what i'm hoping for.

I just thought I'd let you know what your blog has meant to me.. for maybe 2 years or so I've been reading your blog.. some things you say sound so familiar, because they're in my heart as well.. you don't know me from adam.. but your writings are so deep and put my feelings into words perfectly.. there have been times when I would have broken down, but I read a blog you wrote and feel some hope.. I have an old journal with entry after entry of your blog printed out in it.. thanks for sharing your life and your heart with me.. maybe you'll think this is weird, but I just wanted you to know how you've impacted my life, without even meaning to..
