on this day off, i am awake at 6:51 am, and intensely disappointed to be so. i went to bed way too late, frenetically web-searching my latest creative project now that my computer is back in my hands with a brand new hard drive. which, of course, i rolled over and grabbed the second i knew my eyes were open for the day.
now, sitting in bed, i hear them: BIRDS. i can't remember noticing an absence of morning chirps prior to today, but i guess it makes sense. winter is ending. march starts tomorrow. maybe these few chirps are the first in the chorus of spring returning.
all that to say this: i am so, so excited to start waking up with the birds again.
