i didn't quit, in case you were wondering.
a week later, the waitressing job seems like an afterthought.
my entire life is about to change.
i drove down to philly yesterday, showed my mom my apartment. it was my first look at it too, since when i signed the lease the apartment was still occupied. it was almost erie. who knows what will happen in those rooms this year? it's exciting; it makes me squirm in my seat; i can't believe that i've been thinking about this thing for years and it's finally about to happen. but what exactly is going to happen? i know the background of this new chapter... the school, the classes, a new gym, my own place... but the details are about to start filling in the gaps. i feel like i'm sitting in a theater, waiting for the curtains to open. yesterday's mail brought my user id and password for pcom's computer system, and i downloaded and printed out the schedule for all three terms of my first year. ouch. it sucked the breath out of me. can i DO this? what am i getting myself into? i'm definately not old enough, not smart enough, not "scientific" enough to be attempting something so big. but here i am anyway, waiting to see if i'm a fool.
